• Ellsworth Road Roadway Improvement Project

  MCDOT's RightRoads Program in partnership with the Town of Queen Creek, is conducting a public open house meeting to present design plans for future improvements to Ellsworth Road between 400-feet north of Hunt Highway and Cloud Road.
• Information Meeting: 115th Avenue / Jomax Road

  MCDOT is conducting an information meeting to discuss community options for roadway improvements and future roadway access issues associated with the upcoming closure of a segment of the existing northwesterly extension of 115th Ave.
• Traffic Signal Installation: Riggs Road & Power Road Intersection

  In early June, MCDOT will begin installing new traffic signals at the intersection of Riggs and Power Roads. Additional improvements include installation of left-turn lanes in all four directions. See link above for road closure information.
• Power Road: Guadalupe Road to Baseline Road (Roadway & Drainage Improvement Project)

  MCDOT contractor will close Power Road, south of Guadalupe Road, on three separate weekends. All 3 closures will begin Friday evening at 9:00 pm and will reopen Monday morning by 5:00 am.
• Dust Abatement Program: Rustler Road & Arlington Road

  Starting May 19, APS and Qwest will be on site relocating utility lines and poles in preparation of roadway improvements. Work is slated for completion by end of July.
• Cotton Lane (Estrella Parkway to MC85)

  MCDOT contractor has nearly completed construction of Cotton Lane betwen MC85 and the new six-lane bridge over the Gila River.
• Indian School Road (Old Litchfield Road to Dysart Road Roadway Improvement Project)

  MCDOT contractor began construction in June 2007 to improve Indian School Road between Old Litchfield and Dysart. The week of May 19 will begin installation of the final layer of asphalt. Expect traffic lane restrictions until the project is completed.
• Power Road: Guadalupe Road to Baseline Road (Roadway & Drainage Improvement Project)

  Beginning at 9:00 PM, Friday, May 16, 2008, MCDOT contractor will temporarily close Guadalupe Road on the west side of Power Road. Power Road will remain open during the closure. It will reopen by 5:00 AM, May 19.
• Traffic Restriction Advisory (Center Street, between Griffin Avenue and Hovey Avenue)

  MCDOT contractor will temporarily close one traffic lane on Center Street between Griffin Avenue and Hovey Avenue beginning May 12, 2008. Alternating lane closures will take place from 7:00 am until 4:00 pm Monday through Friday only.
• 124th Street & Chandler Heights Road (Intersection Improvement Project)

  Beginning Monday, April 28, MCDOT contractor will close 124th Street between Chandler Heights Road and Via de Palmas. During the closure, Chandler Heights Road and Via de Palmas will remain open and McQueen Road or Cooper Road may be used as alternatives.

• Traffic Signal Installation: Pinnacle Peak Road and 91st Avenue

  In April, MCDOT will begin installing new traffic signals at the intersection of Pinnacle Peak Road and 91st Avenue. Installation is slated for completion in August 2008.
• Forepaugh Peak Road (North of US 60)

  Starting April 21, 2008, MCDOT crews will begin preparation work on Forepaugh Peak Road for new roadway maintenance activity scheduled to begin in July 2008. Lane restrictions can be anticipated.
