  MCDOT and the Gila River Indian Community invite you to attend a Ribbon Cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the 51st Avenue Improvement Projects.
• 97th Avenue and Sun Valley Drive

  On July 27, 2010 MCDOT contractor will begin construction to improve drainage along Sun Valley Drive and the intersection of 97th Avenue near the Quail Run Golf Course. Project is slated for completion in August 2010.
• 2010 Asphalt Rubber Overlay

  On Saturday, July 17 and Sunday, July 18, MCDOT contractor will be milling the top layer of pavement on Bell Road. Temporary lane closures and restrictions can be anticipated.
• El Mirage Road (Bell Road to Deer Valley Drive)

  Installation of traffic signal poles at the Beardsley Road and the Deer Valley Drive access road connector intersections is now underway.

  Beginning early next month, MCDOT will start construction on the 3-mile segment of 7th Street between Carefree Highway and Desert Hills Drive.
• Road Closure Advisory: Ocotillo Road at the UPRR Crossing

  Beginning July 12, 2010, MCDOT will close Ocotillo Road at the UPRR crossing between Arizona Ave. and McQueen Road. The roadway is scheduled to reopen on July 13, 2010.
• El Mirage Road (Bell Road to Deer Valley Drive)

  Over the next several weeks, traffic on El Mirage Road north of Bell Road will be reduced to just one lane in each direction.

  Beginning in mid June, the Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will begin a series of roadway rehabilitation and maintenance projects on more than 35 miles of County roadways using $6.4 million in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) federal stimulus monies, announced Chairman Don Stapley, Maricopa County Board of Supervisors.

  MCDOT contractor is constructing a new 3-mile stretch of El Mirage Road between Bell Road and the newly completed segment of El Mirage Road at Deer Valley Drive.
• Dust Mitigation: Street Paving

  MCDOT contractor will place a two-inch layer of asphaltic concrete pavement on the existing dirt roadway surface on the streets listed at the link above. Work slated for completion in June 2010.
