| Cotton Lane (Estrella Parkway to MC 85) |
This project, located within the jurisdictions of Maricopa County and the City of goodyear, will design and construct a 3.25-mile section of Cotton Lane between Estrella parkway and MC 85.
Improvements include the construction of a 1.5-mile, four-lane roadway segment, a 1.6-mile, four-lane roadway segment with bike lanes; and the construction of a half-mile long bridged crossing of the Gila River with bike lanes and sidewalk, along with intersection improvements at MC 85 and Estrella Parkway.
A 1.6-mile segment of Cotton Lane within the project limits will be constructed and funded as part of the proposed King Ranch development. The combined projects will facilitate a seamless transportation system that accommodates community access and growth, reduces area traffic congestion and provides overall enhanced traffic safety. |

Traffic Restrictions:
The MCDOT contractor will maintain at least one lane of traffic in each direction at all times during construction at Estrella Parkway and MC 85 intersections. Lane closures may be anticipated. Please allow yourself extra time to drive through the area as there may be traffic delays. Access will be maintained for residents, businesses and emergency vehicles at all times. |
